I'm not going to lie to you guys - I had to look up "fortitude" in the dictionary before I could start sketching ideas out for this
theme. My iMac's built-in dictionary gives the following definition: "
Courage in pain or adversity." Using that as a starting point, I came up with this illustration:
I used to skateboard when I was a kid, but I was never good enough to attempt a halfpipe. If I ever had, I'm sure I would have ended up like this poor fellow here, though I'm not sure I'd have the fortitude to give it a second try! ;)
